• Med / Surg RN (Ortho and Peds experience preferred) are needed for a 13-week assignment at a Hospital located in Central Nebraska.

Schedule Information

• Shifts & Scheduling : 0630-1900, 1830-0700 / / try to accommodate preferences as much as possible
• Weekend Requirement : Every other
• Holiday Requirement : If needed
• How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation? : First week in classroom then 2- 12 hour shifts on the floor

• Reading of basic rhythms required for RNs
• Unit's focus on hourly rounding, bedside shift report, nurse communication, and team nursing
• Unit's orientation schedule

• Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? : Yes- does take patient assignments regularly when needed
• Are there nurse aids / patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? : Yes- 1 : 10
• Are there tele / monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? : Yes, must be able to read basic rhythms
• Floating Requirements : Will float to Inpatient Rehab unit, Skilled Nursing unit as well as our Progressive Care Unit, taking MS appropriate assignments.

Staff may float to other departments to task / help and not assume a patient assignment depending on department / organization needs.

• Scrub Color / Dress Code / Scrubs provided? : Navy Blue
• Faced paced unit with a fluctuating census. Unit is focused on hourly rounding, bedside shift report, nurse communication and team nursing.

• Radius Rule : 50 miles AND candidate may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and / or Dignity.
• RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
