Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Hiring Immediately)

Longview Regional Medical Center has an opening for a RN full time

in our Emergency Department-A minimum of two (2) years of critical care

Job Duties :

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
• Promotes patients independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
• Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals
• May be required to float when needed by the hospital

Minimum Requirements :

• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
• Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 90 days of hire; ENCP and TNCC certifications are required within 6 months with facility program.

A minimum of two (2) years of critical care experience.
