Key Responsibilities :
Earned Media & Media Relations
Develop and implement PR strategies and campaigns in collaboration with the Head of PR.
Leverage existing media contacts to secure coverage in local news outlets and publications.
Draft, distribute, and track press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials.
Maintain and strengthen media relationships; handle media inquiries and coordinate interviews.
Engage with reporters on social media to foster relationships.
Maintain and update media contact lists and distribution lists.
Utilize tools like Muck Rack to identify and pitch relevant journalists.
Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and media outlets.
Owned Media & Content Strategy
Assist in publishing content on brand-owned channels (blogs, email campaigns, social media).
Collaborate with writers, editors, and contributors to generate content.
Work closely with the social media manager to synchronize PR and social media efforts.
Media Monitoring & Analysis
Use media monitoring tools to track media coverage.
Compile press clippings and prepare regular reports on PR activities and metrics.
Corporate Communications
Assist in developing and distributing communications to employees and stakeholders.
Manage PR files, documents, and archives.
Messaging & Positioning
Support the development of corporate messaging and ensure consistency across all communications channels.
Event & Experiential Marketing
Support the planning and execution of PR events, including virtual and in-person press conferences, product launches, and community events.
Leverage media contacts to ensure events generate positive media exposure.
Influencer Marketing & Blogger Relations
Manage relationships with influencers and bloggers relevant to the entertainment industry.
Coordinate influencer campaigns to amplify brand messaging.
Crisis Communications
Assist in developing crisis communication plans and managing communication efforts during crises to protect the brand's reputation.
PR Reporting & Media Measurement
Create and share PR reports with executives and cross-functional teams.
Analyze PR results and connect campaign goals with business outcomes.
Community Relations
Engage in activities that enhance community goodwill and build positive relationships with local communities.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in public relations, preferably within the entertainment industry.
Established contacts with local news media and publications.
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with PR tools such as Muck Rack or similar.
Passion for the entertainment industry and a keen interest in media trends.
