Job Title : Lead Unity Developer
Location : Seattle, WA (100% Remote)
Duration : 12 month contract (Possible Extension or Conversion)
Compensation : $75-90 (Depending on Experience)
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead and mentor a team of Unity developers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality code and efficient workflows.
- Collaborate with team members, customers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to maintain and develop new features of a Unity Software Development Kit.
- Oversee the development and testing of code, bug fixing, profiling, and optimization.
- Review and enhance existing documentation, and assist in creating new documentation.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, development processes, and coding standards.
- Write efficient, well-documented code with attention to detail.
- Manage regular release cycles for public and restricted platform releases.
- Demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload, manage time efficiently, and work effectively in a small team environment.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
- 7+ years of professional game development experience in a related field is highly desired.
- 3+ years of professional experience leadership or mentorship capacity in the game development field is highly desired.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS :
- Proven experience and proficiency in C# with the Unity Engine (4 or more years).
- Specific experience with modern versions of the Unity engine (2019 and newer) and strong C# skills.
- Extensive experience developing UI systems using Unity UI (uGUI).
- Proficiency with version control software (Perforce, Git, etc.).
DESIRED SKILLS :
- Experience with other Game Engines (Unreal, VBS, etc.).
- Experience with AR / VR platforms (HTC Vive, Oculus, ARKit, HoloLens, etc.).
- Experience developing for Xbox, PlayStation, and / or Switch.
- Experience with iOS, Android, and / or Windows Mobile development.
- Knowledge of C / C++, Objective-C, JavaScript, HTML, JSON, XML, and other languages.
- Experience with the full lifecycle of design and programming of training content from concept through project completion.
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
- A portfolio / GitHub with examples of past work is preferred.
