We are seeking a qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students.
Position Overview :
The BCBA will be responsible for conducting functional behavior assessments, developing and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and providing training and support to staff and families.
This role is crucial in promoting positive behavior and academic success for students, particularly those with special needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to promote effective behavioral strategies in the classroom and at home.
- Provide training and ongoing support to staff in the implementation of behavior interventions and data collection procedures.
- Collect and analyze data on student behavior and progress, making adjustments to intervention plans as necessary.
- Stay current with best practices and research in the field of behavior analysis and special education.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals and objectives.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings, particularly those with behavioral challenges.
- Strong munication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of special education laws and practices is a plus.
