Job Title : Part-Time Hybrid Compensation, Benefits & HR Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation, Benefits & HR Associate to join our team in a part-time, hybrid capacity. This role offers the flexibility of working 3 days per week, with 2 days in the office and the remaining hours remote.

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate in the design, implementation, communication, and administration of the foundation’s compensation, health, and welfare programs, as well as defined contribution and other benefit programs.
You will also oversee Leave of Absence administration, policy management, and the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
This role involves partnering with Human Resources, Finance, and Administration management to recommend solutions that align with the strategic objectives of an organization with fewer than 40 employees.
Additionally, you will provide administrative support for recruitment activities and manage engagements with external trainers and coaches, under the direction of the Chief People & Culture Officer
Projected Weekly Hours

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
- Partner in the design, development, and administration of employee benefit and wellness programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, flexible spending, and paid time off
- Ensure that compensation and benefits programs support the foundation’s strategic objectives and provide attractive, competitive offerings for our employees
- Maintain records of benefit costs, compile data for cost analysis, and collaborate with Finance to ensure accuracy of carrier billings and HRIS enrollments
- Work closely with insurance brokers and benefits consultants on annual renewals and strategy. Oversee and administer all employee-related activities, including open enrollment, onboarding, and terminations
- Manage all communications related to employee benefits and compensation, including presentations for staff and leadership, and develop effective employee communications
- Oversee the open enrollment process, including timely communication plans and coordination with brokers / vendors
- Design reports to monitor benefit costs and utilization, providing leadership with data to understand trends and budget impacts
- Support the administration and execution of all Leaves of Absences, including FMLA, disability, and worker’s compensation, ensuring compliance and effective communication
Compensation
- Manage all aspects of the foundation’s compensation programs, ensuring market alignment and accurate documentation in HRIS
- Provide guidance on employee compensation and benefits programs, and compile total rewards statements
- Continuously educate colleagues and management on best practices and trends
- Participate in compensation surveys and analyze results to determine the foundation’s competitive position
- Lead and manage annual compensation projects, forecasts, and salary budget development
HRIS and Human Resources Support
- Evaluate, maintain, and implement HRIS solutions to support HR initiatives, including Predictive Index data management
- Serve as HRIS system administrator, supporting payroll, benefits, and employee information management
- Support HRIS system changes and design system specifications to develop, enhance, and / or modify the HRIS as needed
- Document HRIS processes, drive best practices, and ensure timely updates to job descriptions and HR policies
- Prepare reports and analyses, oversee HRIS testing for upgrades, and conduct necessary staff training
- Act as the main point of contact between Human Resources, Payroll, IT, and vendors for all employment information system issues
- Support the Chief People & Culture Officer with recruitment needs, including talent acquisition tracking and talent retention analytics, and provide administrative support for third-party coaches and trainers
- Perform other duties, special projects, and activities as required by the foundation
Education and Experience Requirements
2-3 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates professionalism, problem-solving, and analytical skills
