In the role of Manufacturing Engineer III you'll play a pivotal part in problem resolution. You'll have the opportunity to act as a subject matter expert in using Lean or Six Sigma principles to optimize existing processes to ensure production of cost effective and quality products.

This position contributes to our vision by :

  • May serve as primary interface with external customers;
  • Analyzes changes in customer specs in order to flow them down to manufacturing;
  • Interfaces with product engineering, manufacturing leadership, and support teams to meet business unit goals;
  • Supports standardization initiatives across business units;
  • Coordinates with engineering team to implement company engineering strategies;
  • Defines material sorting and grouping to match the process sequence and aid manufacturing;
  • Documents sorting to match the process sequence;

Job Requirements

At Safran Electrical & Power, we seek service-oriented team players with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude, adaptable to our innovative and evolving environment.

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5-8 years experience in manufacturing and / or quality processes. Prefer Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma methods training.Knowledge / Skills
  • Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint) - Expert
  • Blueprint and schematics reading - Expert
  • Problem Solving, root cause analysis and corrective action - Expert
  • Ability to design layouts and fixtures to aid manufacturing (AutoCAD) - Advanced
