Description : Register Nurse or LPN
Mid-Valley Special Education Cooperative provides comprehensive and highly specialized programs that are housed in various locations throughout the member districts.
Job Summary : Collaborate with teacher and staff to implement academic, vocational, behavioral, communication, independent living skills and social skills programming.
Assist students with communication, mobility, small motor skills, academics, self help and hygiene needs.
Mid-Valley Special Education Cooperative serves five member districts : Batavia, Central, Kaneland, St. Charles, and Geneva.
This is a full-time Monday - Friday school calendar position
Qualifications :
Holds a valid, active license issued through the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulations, as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
Experience in pediatric, special needs or school-based nursing is preferred
Experience working collaboratively with a wide variety of professionals and parents
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Provides direct professional nursing services, first aid, and emergency care to students age 3-22 with moderate to severe range of disabilities including Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, Emotional Disa
