Department Overview

The Primary Care Clinics are a group of hospital based and community pediatric clinics providing out-patient services to infants, children and teenagers.

The clinics' population is diverse including inner city and suburban families, and English and non-English speaking families (interpreter services available).

 Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

 Pediatric nurse practitioners at the clinics provide a range of patient-facing services from well-child care, sports physicals, management of acute and walk-in care, and addressing nutritional, developmental, mental health, and behavioral concerns.

Additionally, non-patient facing responsibilities will include quality improvement work.Â

Qualifications

Education : Â APRN : Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. Master's Degree required; Doctorate preferred.Â

License / Certification : APRN : Curren t MN RN / APRN License. Nationally Board Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with either the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Current BLS certification. Â

 Experience :  Current / previous experience in inpatient pediatrics as a nurse, nurse practitioner preferred.

Physical Demands

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, and compliance with the Government Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.

Children's Minnesota requires proof of COVID-19 vaccine, and as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), immunity to vaccine preventable infectious diseases, prior to employment.
