Description
Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer. Performs a variety of security responsibilities to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, hazardous materials, and illegal entry.
- Enforces Providence Health Care, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PRMCE staff, visitors, staff, and property;
- responds and assists in restraining patients; detains individuals when necessary; provides protective services to high risk areas;
and performs Notary services. May be required to support any Providence or affiliated organization in emergent situations in the local service area.

Required qualifications :
Upon request : Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving.
Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
Preferred qualifications :
Associate's Degree
1 year Law Enforcement / Security / Military experience or two years of responsible work experience and prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Related college course work may substitute for one year of experience.
