The Role :

Joyous is seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our growing team! As our first Technical Product Manager, you will be a key driver of our product vision and execution.

This role combines product strategy with hands-on technical experience, making you a pivotal part of building, refining, and scaling our product suite.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement product improvements that drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention, while utilizing your engineering background to ensure technical feasibility and innovation.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with a blend of product and software engineering experience to directly impact the future of mental health care by developing and delivering transformative digital solutions.

Location :

This role will be located onsite at our HQ in Foster City, CA.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Play a key role in shaping and executing our product roadmap, working with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive growth and engagement.
  • Leverage your software engineering experience to contribute to the hands-on development and optimization of our product suite, ensuring alignment with growth and patient-centric goals.
  • Translate high-level company objectives into product strategies and iterative development plans, ensuring technical and business goals are met.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data, and design teams to implement product features, focusing on enhancing the user experience and driving retention.
  • Use data-driven insights and technical expertise to identify product changes that optimize growth, acquisition, and engagement.
  • Lead A / B testing, multivariate testing, and other experiments to measure the impact of growth initiatives.
  • Prioritize and manage the implementation of product enhancements, collaborating closely with engineering teams to ship features that align with strategic goals.
  • Regularly report on product performance, providing actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners to facilitate product innovation and growth.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a combined product and software engineering role.
  • Hands-on experience shipping code and building products; strong ability to contribute to technical execution when needed.
  • Proven experience driving growth strategies through product development, data analysis, and user experience optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven product decision-making.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (React, Node) and familiarity with cloud infrastructure and AI technologies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building products that improve patient outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.
