SUMMARY :
Provide instructional assistance to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher. Monitor students taking online courses and assist in preparing, conducting, and managing classroom activities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Instructional Support
- Monitor students working in online courses through Tarrant County College (TCC).
- Provide instruction to students under the direction of teacher, work with individual students or small groups.
- Help teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
- Help with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
- Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
- Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
- Help the teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
- Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
Student Management
- Monitor students working in online courses through Tarrant County College (TCC).
- Help supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
- Interact with students in an equitable manner, including the fair application of rules; help manage the behavior of assigned students as needed and according to district policy.
- Assume responsibility for learning and adapting to each student’s special medical, physical, communicative, and emotional needs.
- Make teachers aware of special needs or problems of individual students.

- Maintain confidentiality.
- Participate in professional development programs, faculty meetings, and special events as assigned.
- Comply with all policies, operating procedures, legal requirements, and verbal and written directives.
- Comply with the Professional Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
- Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
