As a Per Diem employee, you’ll have the opportunity to pick up various shifts each week and month. You’ll be a valued part of a highly collaborative and dedicated team of Veterinary professionals.

As a Veterinary Assistant in Urgent Care you will be responsible for : Triaging patients Must be skilled in catheter placement and venipuncture.

Obtaining and reporting vitals, prioritizing patient treatments and delegating tasks if neededRecognize changes in patient status and report to doctorUtilizing different imaging modalities (radiographs, ultrasound)Administer and monitor patients for anesthetic / sedation procedures- dental experience highly preferredCompensation range : $20-25 / hr.

RVT up to $29 / hr. Responsibilities : Serve as an intermediary between doctor and client for non-essential communicationCollect and summarize detailed histories regarding patients that present through the emergency room following triage with Emergency TechniciansCreate and present treatment plans to the clientsCommunicate between doctors and technicians what treatments (blood draws, procedures, etc.

need to be done.Assist the doctor with patient-related tasks through the entirety of the shift. Assist with collecting deposits.

Manage consent forms with clients.Document conversations between clients and the attending doctor.Handle miscellaneous prescription requests, client callbacks, lab work entries etc.

About You : 3-5 years experience. Anesthesia experience required High school diploma or equivalent required; candidates from vocational co-op programs also consideredAbility to read, write, and speak English is requiredKnowledge and practical application of basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is requiredMust have weekend availability Benefits of Working with Ethos : Highly competitive and comparable wages based on experience and skill set.
