About The Position
Job Title : Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) Job Specialty : OR Tech - General, specializing in Orthopedic Cases Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Days, 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM, 4x10-hour shifts per week Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years as an OR Technologist, with previous hospital experience and expertise in orthopedic cases required License : CST Certification required Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required Must-Have : Must have experience working in orthopedic cases Job Description : Function as a crucial member of the Operating Room Team, alongside surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesiologists, certified nurse anesthetists, and ancillary support personnel.
- Primary responsibility involves scrubbing for surgical cases.- Handle and manage surgical instruments, supplies, medication, media, specimens, and instrument cases.
- Assume responsibility for on-call duties once fully trained.- Occasionally assist in Labor & Delivery cases, though rare.
- Operate under the general supervision of the OR Manager or Surgery Center Manager.Please ensure that you meet the required experience and certification criteria before applying for this role.
