All the sites are considered the department as a whole. You will not float to another department in the Rady organization.

Unit Summary : 36 beds. 200 pts per day is avg / Ortho Clinic is a separate entity but shares space; there are 4 urgent care sites that may need a Traveler.

Need to perform sedation's; MUST have computerized charting / they use EPIC 8 or 10 D / E rotation / weekends / holidays.

NP Ratio 1 : 4 Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice. Responsible for independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of pediatric patient care.

Selects and administers the appropriate care taking into consideration the age and developmental level and size of the patient.
