Assist in the maintenance and operation of the central steam distribution system, repair / replace existing insulated items, and insulate new work too.
Will also assist in the repair of steam and condensate piping systems including but not limited to campus-wide steam manholes. Minimum Qualifications
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY; OR DEMONSTRATED POSSESSION OF THE COMPETENCIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE WORK. OPTIONAL GUIDELINES : EXPERIENCE IN THE TRADE AREAS RELATED TO THE AREA OF ASSIGNMENT MAY BE SUBSTITUTED ON A YEAR-FOR-YEAR BASIS.
Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years experience with insulating piping systems;
3-5 years in mechanical maintenance related to steam systems; Desired completion of 40-hour asbestos training; Confined space training
