AdventHealth Apopka
- AdventHealth Apopka is a seven-story, 120-bed hospital offering an extensive range of services including expanded surgical services, advanced surgical suites and a catheterization lab
- The hospital also features a 30,000-square-foot emergency department with pediatric-friendly beds, imaging services, a full-service cafeteria, chapel, gift shop and on-site fire station
- The hospital opened in December 2017, replacing the 50-bed hospital that AdventHealth had operated in downtown Apopka for more than four decades
The role youâ€ll contribute :
The Team Leader assists the Shift Supervisor, Operations Managers, and department Directors in the day-to-day function of the department.
Maintains a high level of quality in all aspects of the departmentâ€s duties by training, supporting, supervising, and interacting with department team members.
Coordinates with EVS Managers, ensures that all schedules are assigned and completed daily. Ensures assigned areas and housekeepers are supplied with items and chemicals needed to perform daily functions.
Set a positive example for department through professional interactions with team members, customers, patients, and families.
The value youâ€ll bring to the team :
- Cleans assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, and sanitizing all surfaces
- Follows policies and procedures in accordance with facility standards
- Stocks paper items and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated
- Demonstrates a complete knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures and proper operation of cleaning equipment related to cleaning.
Documents all work that has been performed
Responsible for training employees, directing complaints, resolving problems.
Qualifications What You Will Need :
- Ability to lead, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, and functions independently using effective written and verbal communications
- Ability to accept direction and respond to the ever-changing matrix of hospital needs
- Ability to use discretion when discussing confidential personnel related issues
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- One year experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor (Preferred)
