About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Urgent Care Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : - Day 5x7.5-Hour (12 : 30 - 19 : 30)- Night 5x7.
5-Hour (17 : 00 - 00 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours weekly Experience : - 2 years in Emergency Room (ER) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU)- 1 year in Pediatric ER triage or 2 years in Adult ER Triage- 2 years of travel experience preferred - Previous children's hospital experience is highly desired License : California RN license Certifications : - Basic Life Support (BLS)- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Must-Have : - Experience in Emergency Department (ED) or Urgent Care (pediatric or adult) Job Description : Independently apply the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of pediatric patient care.
- Administer care tailored to the age, developmental level, and size of the patient.- Foster a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing.
- Identify own limitations and seek resources as needed.- Perform duties in accordance with Standards of Care, showcasing strong clinical skills and judgment.
- Foster learning through clinical inquiry and advocate for patient diversity.- Collaborate and communicate effectively within the team.
- Utilize systems thinking to enhance patient care.- Perform sedations and utilize computerized charting systems (EPIC experience required).
- Work on a day / evening rotation, including weekends and holidays.- Work primarily at designated home site but may be required to work among various urgent care sites as needed.
- Participate in a unit that handles an average of 200 patients per day with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 4. Additional Information : Compliance documents required by the Wednesday prior to the start date.
- Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.- Candidate expected to complete non-billable modules within 6-8 hours as part of the orientation process.
- Flu vaccine required; no exemptions allowed.
