Description
This is a staff-level Accounts Payable Specialist role that is responsible primarily for accounts payable, analyzing and reconciling vendor account information and journal entries for multiple programs within a large multi-faceted social service agency.
- Duties include, but are not limited to : petty cash processing, preparing and entering disbursement information into computer;
- processing payments to vendors based on agreed upon terms; auditing documents; maintaining accounting controls by following stated procedures;
- reconciling vendor statement discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information; maintaining financial security by following internal controls;
additional responsibilities include assistance with weekly check runs, accurately reviewing GL code documentation, performing vendor account reconciliations, speaking with vendors via email and telephone to resolve billing issues preparing journal entries, and other duties as needed.
Requirements
Associates Degree preferred or related field and minimum of one- three years of direct experience; Direct financial experience in non-profit human services organization preferred.

$22 per hour, 40 hour a week
