Duties : Writing, maintaining, and enhancing software for the Calibre family of Optical Proximity Correction tools. Adding features and fixing bugs in a computational photolithography tool using various engineering methods for optimization including iterative techniques, gradient descent, and other numerical methods in a software development environment.
Implementing algorithms for Computational Lithography. Using computational geometry expertise and applying ideas from other fields of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and engineering as applicable.
Working with Microlithography including photomasks to represent openings through which light is transmitted. Resolving issues through mechanical engineering to analyze non-linear systems and determining the shapes on photomasks have been limited to polygons constructed from horizontal, vertical, or 45-degree lines.
Optimizing and debugging issues related to optimizations of spline segments in complex shapes. Creating test cases and execute handoff of test cases to the Quality Assurance team.
Maintaining and updating documentation and functional specifications as code changes are completed. Utilizing Jira bug-tracking software for planning of work and communicating to downstream teams such as the Quality Assurance team.
Writing software in C++. Running test cases to ensure that code is correct before committing changes.
Requirements : Employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Computer engineering, or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a Software Developer related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following :
- Working with Computational lithography or computational physics;
- Working with Python coding;
- Utilizing issue tracking software and Revision control systems
