Job Summary
Aerospace is seeking an EHS Specialist (Environment Health & Safety Specialist II / III) to assist in implementing Environmental, Health, and Safety programs such as emergency planning, fire and life safety, contractor safety, injury investigation, ergonomic risk assessments, tracking COVID cases, light website design, and others.
This is a casual employment position. Casual employment is normally between 20 -40 hours a week and must be less than 1,000 paid hours in any calendar year.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate with Aerospace employees, customers, vendors, and visitors to mutually establish EHS requirements and priorities
- Assist in ensuring compliance with internal EHS regulations as well as compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including completing inspections and maintaining required records
- Investigate injuries / incidents to determine root cause, develop corrective actions, and track to completion
- Assist in raising awareness to applicable regulations and Aerospace EHS programs
- Respond to on-site emergencies, such as evacuation, shelter-in-place, and others
- Conduct self-inspections, develop corrective actions, and track to completion
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for the Environment Health & Safety Specialist II :
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health, and safety, or related field with at least 1 year of experience
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and staff
- Ability to plan, organize, and follow-up on work flow to meet department goals and objectives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for Environment Health & Safety Specialist III :
- 2-3 years of experience
- Program and project management experience
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these :
- 4-5 years of experience
- First Aid, CPR, AED Certified
- Experienced with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and ANSI Standards
- Experience with environmental, health, and safety best practices, standards, and methodologies

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
