Job Details
Responsibilities :
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts.
- Assist with bookkeeping as necessary to support tax return preparation.
- Efficiently execute engagements to meet deadlines.
- Learn to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Offer tax planning and consulting to help clients achieve their financial objectives.
- Conduct tax research on various issues.
- This position may require extended hours and will not permit time off between January 1st and April 15th.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of recent public accounting experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a desire to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for learning.
- Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with adaptability in various situations.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Preferably, a solid foundation in tax and accounting.
- Enrolled Agent, CPA, or CPA Candidate; familiarity with Ultra Tax, Accounting CS, and / or GoFileRoom.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is a plus but not mandatory.
