Job Location : Twinsburg, Ohio
Summary
Looking for a self-starting manufacturing engineer to establish and implement processes for the assembly of aircraft electrical components including Generator Control Units (GCUs), Transformer Rectifier Units (TRUs), and other electrical power conversion units.
The selected candidate works as part of the engineering and operations team to support production by upkeep and writing of work instructions, implementation of new processes, continuous improvement, and troubleshooting of recurring defects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Writing and upkeep of manufacturing work instructions, routers, and associated paperwork.
- Perform design reviews within the engineering team for manufacturability
- Support continuous improvement activity
- Assists in troubleshooting and potential design improvements

Work Environment
Typical office environment requiring the use of typical office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, etc.) Computer keyboarding, computer monitor and mouse use including reaching forward, grasping, finger and wrist manipulation and neck bending and turning;
near vision is necessary for computer monitor use.
Typical manufacturing / fabrication environment will be subject to a shop floor environment.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
Education and / or Experience
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering technology / manufacturing / Industrialization or Engineering degree with experience in Aerospace manufacturing.
Willing to accept relevant practical experience in lieu of degree
- 2-4 years of manufacturing assembly experience. Experience within aerospace or electronics assembly a plus.
- Must be a United States citizen or possess the legal right to work in the U.S. on military and commercial applications.
Candidate skills & requirements
- Proficient at interpreting engineering drawings and applying appropriate manufacturing techniques. Knowledge of electronics and wound assembly manufacturing processes a plus
- Some understanding of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with AS9100, ISO9001, Causal analysis, 8D, SPC, and continuous improvement tools a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
