What You'll Do :

As the Electronics Engineering Manager, you will lead and manage the research, development, design, and validation of new and existing technology projects to ensure they meet the project scope, on schedule, and in budget.

You will also manage the Manufacturing Engineering

Your Accountabilities In The Role :

  • Researches, develops and implements a Product Roadmap layout focused on priority, value, and profitability aligned to the customer and business goals and budgets.
  • Develops, leads, and directly works on plans for new product development, ensuring the plan meets manufacturing capabilities, budget and timeline.
  • Leads and manages the training and development of project team members and subcontractors to ensure product success, with first pass yields.
  • Creates, develops and manages continuous improvement programs and processes to provide innovative solutions to customers, improve products, performance, and cost.
  • Utilizes a stage gate process to ensure the right people are involved in the product development process while working cross-functionally with various groups to ensure high quality and innovative product solutions.
  • Coordinates with the purchasing department on new product development components and projects to ensure optimal quality and budget success.
  • Maintains awareness of new technologies or trends in the industry, performs product comparisons, and competitive analyses to support ongoing product development.
  • Develops / reviews instructional material, performs product validations, and does product testing via onsite or in the field, to ensure quality and performance standards of new or enhanced products are achieved.
  • Provides technical support, via phone or in the field, for internal / external customers on product performance, installation, repair and troubleshooting guidance to ensure product quality and performance expectations are achieved.

Position Requirements :

  • Education : Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering preferred; would consider an Associates in Electronics or mechanical engineering, with "hands on" experience with electronics circuit design and software design knowledge.
  • Experience : 5+ years of direct Electronic / Electrical Engineering Management experience in project management, research, design, and creation of new electronic technology with software experience preferred.

The ability to use 3D / CAD drawing experience is preferred.

  • Certification(s) : n / a
  • Functional Skills : Excellent ability to research, plan, lead, manage, and execute on projects and ensure they are progressing timely and within budget is key;

working knowledge of embedded electronic controls, sensors, and logic control sequences within control block programming is preferred.

Excellent ability to create schematics, analyze processes, and validate data is essential. Excellent attention to details, follow-through, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage to a budget.

Technology Aptitude / Skills : Knowledge and understanding of Smart systems, sensor technology, and Smart controls, is also preferred.

Intermediate use of Microsoft programs (such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and ERP systems is also required.

  • Language Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to listen and communicate with customers to understand needs and create solutions that will meet customer's expectations on value and price, while maximizing profit is critical.
  • Leadership / Behaviors : Strong customer and quality focus. Ability to engage with new technology, manage and collaborate with team members and customers, to ensure project plan timelines, guideposts, and due dates are achieved is important.

Strong leadership, creativity, and influencing skills are required. Must be innovative and possess diplomacy with a desire to continually develop and grow skillsets and product trends change.

Position Status & Salary : Pay is negotiable based on years of experience.

And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To : CEO

Core Hours : 7 : 00 am - 6 : 00 pm (Will work 8-9 hours within this timeframe, Mon - Fridays); some occasional weekend work to meet customer needs

Travel : Limited

Work Conditions : Must have ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, kneel, squat, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs. sporadically to move product.

Must be able to see small print and color.
