SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for coordinating and maintaining several elements of the DSV IMS Quality Management System, including document control, internal audits, corrective and preventive actions, continuous improvement, and employee training.
The Quality Assurance Specialist interacts with all departments within DSV Inventory Management Solutions to facilitate procedure implementations and revisions, schedule and facilitate training sessions, conduct audits, and ensure compliance to applicable quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Writes and updates standard operating procedures, uploads into electronic document management system, assigns document approvers and tracks approval process
- Creates and updates forms, work instructions and process flow charts that represent IMS business processes
- Coordinates the document revision process for procedures, policies, work instructions and forms that have been identified as needing updates.
- Collaborates with relevant subject matter experts to develop new processes and revise existing processes to meet required quality standards.
- Coordinates the internal audit program, maintains audit records and performs lead auditor responsibilities.
- Coordinates the Corrective Action program, facilitates meetings, completes required documentation, and ensures actions are complete and effective.
- Prepares PowerPoint presentations for various training topics, KPI / metrics displays, data summaries, and relevant meetings.
- Actively participates in company sustainability & safety committees and enforces applicable safety programs in a warehouse environment.
- Enters data into Excel spreadsheets, training database and ERP system as applicable.
- Schedules and facilitates new and revised procedure training sessions for applicable employees.
- Assists with maintaining the supplier management program including onboarding, risk analysis, scorecards, and supply chain constraints.
- Assists with maintaining electronic document management system by assigning document numbers, logging them on the document master log, and removing obsolete documents.
- Assists with maintaining employee training records, curriculum requirements and training progress reports.
- Generates a variety of reports and compiles data summaries related to quality programs.
- Effectively communicates with employees throughout the organization both verbally and in writing.
- Effectively communicates with clients and suppliers as needed both verbally and in writing.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and / or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Three years of professional work experience with direct Quality Assurance responsibilities

TRAVEL REQUIRED
- Travel by car between IMS Arizona facilities

Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision. Must be able to travel by automobile.
