Job Description : Responsible for overall management of the Infection Prevention Department and for the Surveillance Prevention and Control of Infection Program to prevent or minimize Health Care Acquired Infections and to ensure the well-being and safety of employees and patients.
Qualifications Job Requirements : Education : Graduate of a state accredited school of nursing or graduate of an accredited collegiate program in an allied science such as public health / epidemiology.
Master’s Degree preferred. Experience : Five years clinical experience, three years of Infection Control experience preferred.
Technical Skills : Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet, and databases. License / Certification : Nevada RN License or other healthcare professional certification.
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or eligible to become certified within two years of employment. Other : Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care / service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit / department.
