Quality Control Sample Coordinator I

This position reports to the Quality Control Manager. The role is responsible for performing quality sampling activities and maintaining sample submissions and organization in a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

The candidate should have an understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing / compounding and cGMP requirements. The position requires an individual who works independently and in a team environment, with strong attention to detail, and maintains communication with other functional areas and sites.

Essential Functions :

Responsible for performing daily quality functions including :

• Perform sample submissions to contract laboratories and in-house laboratory.
• Obtain samples from Production, correctly record data in batch records.
• Visually inspect samples prior to laboratory submission.
• Complete sample submission forms, label and prepare samples for shipment.
• Responsible for the accurate recording and storage of in-house and contract laboratory data.
• Download and file completed testing data from contract laboratory portals.
• Maintain sample tracking spreadsheets.
• Advocate for product quality, and continual improvement.
• Ability to follow SOPs, forms, operational GMP training, and perform quality activities.
• Must pass an eye exam confirming 20 / 20 near vision corrected (with contacts or glasses) or uncorrected
• Must pass an eye exam confirming the ability to accurately perceive color

None

Experience and Necessary Skills :

• Minimum 0-2 years in a quality position at a cGMP or GMP facility. Food, cosmetic or pharmaceutical will be considered.
• High School Diploma or equivalent. College diploma with focus on sciences preferred.
• Fluent in English both reading and writing.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
• Excellent close attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and organizational skills.

Shift : Monday-Thursday 6A-4 : 30P, Tuesday-Friday 6A-4 : 30P
