Apply today to join our dedicated team and experience the benefits of working in an outpatient setting. Key Responsibilities : - Conduct preoperative interviews and assessments to capture patient information.

  • Verify patient identity, surgical site, and informed consent. - Prepare the OR by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile fields.
  • Ensure that surgical supplies and medications specific to the procedure are available. - Manage non-sterile activities, such as positioning, equipment management, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with different departments (anesthesia, pre-op / PACU, Sterile Processing / Materials, etc.) to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring patient safety andcomfort throughout the surgery. - Ensure proper handover and communication during transition of phases or changes in staffing.
  • Respond quickly to intraoperative emergencies. - Document necessary information in patient chart and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced nurses. Nurses in a multi-service OR must be adaptable, organized, and proficient in various surgical procedures, as they often work across different specialties such as orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, GYN, etc.
