Software Engineer (DevOps)

Amida is currently looking for a Software Engineer (DevOps) to join our team in Washington DC (hybrid) or a remote location.

What you will do :

In this role you will be focused on the design and implementation of Amida's software platforms, applications, and features in a primarily DevOps capacity (with possibly some full-stack responsibilities).

You will proactively participate in every aspect of the software development lifecycle including design, implementation, test design, test implementation, optimization, and delivery utilizing the latest technologies.

Required Skills :

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and development
• 2+ years of experience with continuous integration / build automation tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.
• 2+ years of back-end development experience in object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C#
• Understanding of installation and upkeep of application dependencies, libraries / packages, environment variables paths, file system storage, etc.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles such as SOLID
• Experience using Git / GitHub
• A firm grasp of RESTful API design and scalable web architecture
• Experience with container-based technologies such as Docker & Kubernetes
• Experience at integrating with AWS or Azure cloud-based services
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and drive to deliver best-in-class software products

Preferred Skills :

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience in mobile development (Android, iOS, etc.)
• Experience in handling and transforming healthcare data
• Familiarity with frontend testing, including UI testing via frameworks such as Puppeteer or Playwright
• Familiarity with test-driven / behavior-driven development
