Job Description
Seeking a Construction Material Technician to perform testing and inspection services for various building construction projects.
Responsible for performing on-site testing of concrete, soil, aggregates, asphalt, steel, and more to ensure they meet project specifications.
Documenting test results & field activities daily and communicating directly with owners reps, project managers, contractors and other on-site personnel.
Local travel to job sites and overtime / weekend work is required.
Responsibilities :
- Conducts quality control testing at project sites, including concrete, soils, masonry, asphalt, aggregate and reinforcing steel.
- Inspects construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans and / or proposals and bridge projects.
- Verifies plan quantities and calculations with as bid plans, prepares and maintains project records and reports and performs other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer.
- Notifies the Contractor or the Project Engineer with status updates or about non-conforming work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must have one of the following :
- Relevant construction experience (. concrete, masonry, earthwork, labor,
- Relevant degree (. geology, earth science, civil engineering, construction management,
- Candidates with prior CMT experience / certifications will be considered
- ACI, Nuclear Gauge, NICET, NETTCP
- Strong report writing and field note taking skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders
- Willingness to travel and work long hours when required
- Willingness to work outdoors on job sites year-round
