Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Coventry, CT.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating munication disorders in a school setting. This role involves working closely with students, teachers, and parents to enhance student munication skills and support their academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assessment and Evaluation : Conduct prehensive speech and language assessments for students to identify munication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Therapeutic Interventions : Provide direct therapy to students with speech and language impairments, including articulation, fluency, voice disorders, and language delays.
- Collaboration : Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and support student learning.
- Program Development : Develop and implement speech and language programs that align with the school's curriculum and meet students' needs.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, therapy sessions, and evaluations. Prepare and present reports as required.
- Consultation : Offer guidance and training to school staff on strategies to support students with munication difficulties and promote an inclusive learning environment.
- pliance : Ensure adherence to all federal and state regulations, as well as school policies and procedures related to speech and language services.
Qualifications :
- Education : Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certification : Valid state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology and Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience : Previous experience working as an SLP in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Skills : Strong munication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school personnel.
- Knowledge : Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to special education and speech-language services.
