As a Chemical Production Associate, you will pre and post cleaning of parts, prepare and plate various types of parts and safely handle chemicals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre and post cleaning preparation of parts.
Assure proper use of current densities.
Rack and barrel plating.
Plating baths of nickel including electroless, copper, alkaline tin, acid tin, tin lead and gold.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION :
Ability to use current densities, surface area and correct time to ensure correct plating thicknesses on parts.
Knowledge of rack and barrel plating.
Knowledge of plating baths such as nickel including electroless, copper, alkaline tin, acid tin, tin lead and gold.
Working knowledge of rectifiers (power supply), pumps, heaters and controllers.
Working knowledge and basic understanding of the waste treatment system.
Ability to perform in a production working environment with unusual conditions of constant changes in temperature, wetness, high level of noise, fumes, irritants, gases and chemicals.
Ability to repeatedly lift objects weighing 10 Lbs. and occasionally up to 50 Lbs.
Push drums up to 400lb
Repeated standing, walking and bending is required.
Ability to perform assigned duties with little supervision.
Available to work overtime if necessary, including weekends.
Attend training sessions as required to meet standards of job-related activities relating to all HSC applications.
Participate in cross-training efforts interfacing with other departments to acquire additional skills and knowledge for advancement.
