This team will design, analyze, and qualify the structural and thermal hydraulic acceptability of the SG in preparation for manufacturing and insertion into the fleet.

The position will be responsible for performing structural analysis in support of the development of the SG design. This role provides the opportunity to interface with diverse groups across the lab including future power plant projects, BPMI, and others.

  • Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience;
  • or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience;

or Currently or previously NPE qualified; or CTE / ACRS and 1 year EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or Watch Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and 1 year as SRE.Preferred Skills

  • Fundamental understanding of structural analysis
  • Experience with ABAQUS FEA software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working independently while also supporting team goals
  • Demonstrated drive to achieve project deliverables
