The anticipated salary range for this role is between $65,000.00and $80,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire.
The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
The main function of this position is to define and propose credit process and plan to the management upon discussion with multiple internal stakeholders including front officers, credit analysts, credit departments, risk management department and credit product management team in order to align efficiently and effectively.
Role Objectives
- Attend or host meeting with stakeholders to explain JDAD's practices and determine effective and efficient. Interact with internal and external examiners in order to relay appropriate information to JDAD management, analysts and relationship managers.
- Preparation of credit applications in ad hoc basis to deal with a short-staffed situation and urgent and complex deals.
- Management of credit process including pending items such as upcoming applications, monitoring and instruction response in order to communicate and remind stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 6-year experience at a corporate bank or other financial institution.
- Deep and on-hand experience and understanding in banking products including loans, stand-by letter of credit, derivatives and trade finance.
- Formal credit training
- Highly proficient MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are required.
- Experience in multi-cultural workplace is preferred.
- Japanese-English bilingual is preferred.
