Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Pizza Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing high-quality pizzas, including dough preparation, sauce creation, and ensuring toppings are fresh and well-distributed.
They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be committed to maintaining high standards for taste, presentation, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Pizza Preparation : Prepare and cook pizzas according to recipes, including dough stretching, saucing, and applying toppings with accuracy and consistency.
- Dough Preparation : Mix, knead, and roll out dough, ensuring it is made fresh daily and stored properly.
- Ingredient Preparation : Slice, chop, and prepare toppings as needed, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Cooking and Baking : Use pizza ovens (gas) to bake pizzas to desired specifications, monitoring time and temperature to ensure even cooking.
- Sanitation and Cleanliness : Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Inventory and Stock Management : Assist in monitoring ingredient levels, notifying management when supplies are low, and organizing the storage area.
- Customer Service : Occasionally interact with customers, addressing their inquiries or requests and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Experience : Previous experience as a pizza cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred.
- Knowledge : Familiarity with various types of pizza, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment (e.g., pizza ovens, mixers).
- Skills : Strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking abilities; able to work well under pressure.
- Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot environment.
- Availability : Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
