Job Description : Professional Engineer - Water and Wastewater Infrastructure OR Project Manager - Water or Wastewater

Location : Seattle, WA or Portland, OR

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Professional Engineer to join our team, specializing in Water and Wastewater Infrastructure.

This position is based in either Seattle, WA or Portland, OR, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in the region.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Project Design and Management :
  • Lead the design and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, treatment plants, pumping stations, and distribution systems.
  • Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
  • Technical Expertise :
  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental impact analyses.
  • Perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling to support project designs.
  • Utilize advanced engineering software and tools for design and analysis.
  • Regulatory Compliance :
  • Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications and technical reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement :
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and clients.
  • Participate in public meetings and presentations to communicate project goals and progress.
  • Quality Assurance and Control :
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and quality.
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure engineering standards are met.
  • Address and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during construction.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington or Oregon.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure engineering.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, EPANET, SWMM).
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
