We are actively seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team in Portland, ME. We have multiple openings available, including positions in both K-12 and PreK settings.
The roles involve working with students in various special education settings, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), resource programs, and life skills programs.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Provide specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students in K-12 and PreK settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and adaptive materials to address different learning styles.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support the overall development of students.
Qualifications :
- Valid Special Education teaching license in the state of Maine.
- Experience working with students in K-12 and PreK settings.
- Familiarity with various special education settings, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), resource programs, and life skills programs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
