The Process Engineer will function as an integral part of the site utilities operations team and provide direct technical support for the site's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to ensure daily compliance as well as support for other areas within the site Utility Operations group.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible to provide technical oversight and expertise to the plant utilities team to ensure safe and optimal operation of the site’s WWTP
- Develops, maintains and ensures adequate implementation of the WWTP sampling plan to maintain compliance with NPDES permit
- Directly manage WWTP upsets and provide recovery plans as needed
- Provide training to operations and management staff on any aspects of WWTP operations
- Develop and provide input for operational procedures of the WWTP and laboratory operations
- Function as the interface with site production units and on-site 3rd parties related to discharges into the WWTP
- Function as the interface with external laboratories pertaining to sampling of the WWTP
- Provide input for process improvements, system upgrades and repairs for the NMV Industrial Park utility operations
- Execute small capital projects within the areas of responsibility
- Communicate any events of non-compliance to site management and regulatory affairs lead
- Lead or provide support to projects, including Process Technology and Engineering expertise to reach project objectives.
- Collect, compile and analyze data related to site utility operations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering related field or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with a biological industrial WWTP
- Work experience with WWTP operations
