Role-Mortgage Loan Closer

Onsite Denver, CO or Westlake Village, CA;

As a Mortgage Closer, for one of our client projects, you will be responsible for the preparation of loan closing packages, Closing Disclosure (CD) preparation, including issuance of funds, closing instructions, etc.

Essential Functions / Duties :

Competently review loan files to ensure all conditions are cleared and file is ready to close and fund.

Competently review title commitment to insure all title issues have been remediated prior to drawing closing documents.

Perform accurate and complete input into Client’s system in preparation of drawing closing documents.

Ensure accurate reporting when working through loan pipeline.

Coordinate delivery of closing documents to settlement agent.

Ensure all state requirements are being met.

Review underwriting conditions.

Coordinate with settlement agent to obtain final fees to prepare the Closing Disclosure.

Ensure accuracy of instructions to settlement agents.

Review the Closing Disclosure for compliance with closing instructions and balance with title.

Review returned documents for accuracy and completeness prior to funding in escrow states.

Correct loan amounts if necessary.

Approve documents for funding.

Authorize and arrange for the funding wire or check and meet any warehouse requirements.

Assist with Post Closing corrections and audits.

Education & Experience :

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, some college preferred, College degree desired.
  • Intermediate to computer proficiency skills with MS Office, Excel and Mortgage Loan Applications / Software) LOS experience preferred.
  • Six (6) to twelve (12) months of prior loan closing experience is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills; written and oral communication skills and ability to demonstrate control, flexibility and maintain quality and high productivity when dealing with customers and changing work demand.

Ability to multi-task and operate in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements a plus.

Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.

Experience :

Mortgage Closing Experience : 1 year (Preferred)

Microsoft Office : 1 year (Preferred)

Customer Service : 1 year (Preferred)

Education :

High school or equivalent (Required)
