Position Title : Warehouse Material Handler / Forklift Driver
Reports To : Purchasing Supervisor
The Packaging Warehouse Material Handler, is required to handle the day-to-day inventory responsibilities, in support of other organizational functions.
This position reports to the facility Purchasing Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Unload / load delivery trucks with electric forklift
- Load supply trailers with forklift and / or physical material handling
- Perform cycle counting and other daily paperwork
- Follow the instructions of the Purchasing Manager / Purchasing Supervisor
- Meet deadlines for completion of the delegated tasks
- Proper storage and handling of the received stock
- Ensure cleanliness and proper organization of the warehouse
- Place tags and labels on the inventory stock
- Coordinate with team members and other internal departments
- Second Shift 4 : 00pm- 4 : 30am), possible overtime available
- 2 / 2 / 3 Shift
- Must be available for weekend shifts
Skills and Specifications
- Must possess strong computer skills
- Forklift experience a must
- SAP experience a plus
- Must possess the ability to repetitively lift and carry boxes up to 60#
- Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
- Should possess the skills of being a good team worker, self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
- Good interpersonal skills for interacting with other departments
- Must possess good mathematical, statistical and analytical abilities
Education and Qualifications
High school degree or an equivalent qualification
Warehousing experience a plus
Forklift operator experience a must
