RN Openings Available :

Day Shift 6 : 30 am - 3 : 00 pm

Evening Shift 2 : 30 pm - 11 : 00 pm

Night Shift 10 : 30 pm - 7 : 00 am

Compensation Range $37.50-$50.00 / hr depending on experience

Summary

Provides general nursing care to patients in nursing home facility by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing standards
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient
• Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies the Physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents;

may notify supervisor as needed

• Performs nursing assessments to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient
• Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
• Documents interventions, patient behaviors and physical assessments for assigned patients
• Initiates a patient / family-education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient / family, as prescribed by Physician
• Participates in department or unit quality improvement activities
• Other duties may be assigned

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Active, in good-standing, Registered Nurse License in the State of Colorado. Active Basic Life Support (BLS / CPR) certification
