Lead Quality Engineer

£30,000 £35,000 DOE plus pension, life assurance, parking and 25 days holidays plus bank holidays

Our client a Global manufacturing facility is looking to recruit a Lead Quality Engineering to join their established team.
With a strong customer-centric mindset, and great attention to detail you need to be able to work independently with the Quality team in supporting the wider operations team on site.
Key Responsibilities :
- Carry out release of product through the CoA system.
- Conduct weekly & monthly plant hygiene & pest audits to maintain BRC & AIB compliance.
- Support Site Quality Manager ensuring equipment is calibrated & serviced in accordance with internal schedule.
- Conduct & support Internal Audits to meet the requirements of the schedule.
- Collaborate with Production to develop and implement controls and improvements.
- Promote right first-time culture through the roadmap program.
- Investigate internal & external non-conformances to ensure root causes are identified and have robust corrective actions implemented.
- Investigate INC to find root cause.
- Support Site Quality Manager investigating complaints.
- Lead and participate in Quality improvement projects.
- Deliver process confirmation and SI Control to deliver reduction in variation of parameters in quality at machine and department level.
- Lead the laboratory technicians to ensure priorities are clear.
- Deputise for the Site Quality Manager
Requirements :
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment ideally FMCG with 6 sigma training would be advantageous
- Experience of conducting audits & evaluating results
- Medium level of SAP / Shop floor Systems / Microsoft Office Excel / Minitab
