We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This role will be crucial as we design & scale our new lines of business, including those with coaching or clinician components.

The successful candidate will play a key role in tracking & forecasting our overall Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), understanding & modeling fixed vs.

variable costs, estimating the implications of various product & operational choices, & identifying ways to optimize costs while maintaining quality & user value.

What Youll Be Doing :

• Partner with stakeholders across Noom to implement & scale a data science system that can accurately measure & predict the cost of the services we provide our community of users
• Develop & maintain models to differentiate fixed vs. variable costs, aiding in understanding how different business lines scale under different scenarios.
• Estimate the implications of different product & operational choices, enabling informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, & operations to support data-driven decision-making.
• Present insights & recommendations to senior management & stakeholders.
• Learn from & influence a diverse team of data scientists working on problems across Noom.

What Were Looking For :

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist in a similarly-sized organization, with a proven record of analysis & research that positively impacts your team.
• Superior knowledge of statistical analysis methods, such as feature selection, logistic & standard regression, random forests, etc.
• Extensive experience with pandas, numpy, & sklearn. Experience with forecasting (prophet, orbit) & causal inference (DoWhy, CausalML) tools is a plus
• Experience with engineers in building an actual production system that uses machine learning & artificial intelligence.

We dont expect you to write production-quality code, but you should have some programming experience.

• Familiarity with financial forecasting, customer lifetime value prediction, customer segmentation, propensity & uplift modeling & causal inference techniques.
• Excellent SQL / relational algebra skills, ideally with at least a basic knowledge of how different types of databases (e.

g. : column vs row storage) work.

Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

Base Salary :

• The expected base salary for this position is $160,000 - $216,000.
• Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, & location. The range displayed on each job posting is based on Nooms estimate as of the date of publication & reflects the minimum & maximum target for the position across all US locations.

The actual placement of the candidate within the range is based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, assessment of functional skills & behavioral competencies, scope, & location.

This range is not inclusive of any discretionary bonus or equity package.
