Project Manager Non-Tech 2
Job Summary : Talent Software Services is in search of a Project Manager Non-Tech for a contract position in Morrisville, NC.
The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Position Summary : The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc, or any other non-IT-based project.
Primary Responsibilities / Accountabilities : :
Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals.
Schedule and manage meetings and stakeholder progress.
Present and explain proposals, reports on project status, workback plans, and issues / risks identified across multiple stakeholders.
Analyze tools, resource needs and requirements, to plan and assess the feasibility of plans.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
PMI or PMP certification preferred.
2-4 years experience required.
Years of Experience Required : 4 overall years of experience in the field.
Degrees or certifications required : Bachelor's degree PMI or PMP certification (masters is preferred) degree is required to be eligible for this role.
Best vs. Average : The ideal resume would contain previous experience with another tech company within a similar role.
Performance Indicators : Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines, responsiveness, and ability to take initiative.
Minimum 4 years experience with Proficient within Microsoft Suite; Word, PowerPoint
Minimum 4 years experience with Project management and presentations
Minimum 4 years experience with problem solving
Preferred :
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
Basic knowledge of project management methods, tools, processes and best practices.
Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.
