We are currently seeking a sensitive, caring and approachable Activities Coordinator to help with activities and events. In this role, you will work with the Activities Director and another Coordinator to organize on-site activities and off-site excursions while building a sense of community and enriching the lives of our residents.

The activities include arts and crafts, table game nights, exercise classes, music therapy, cultural enrichment such as museum exhibits, book readings, cooking classes, and games adapted to different skill levels.

You must have a flexible schedule around holidays, as seasonal planning, decorating and entertainment can significantly uplift the spirits of our residents.

Applicants should have some experience in arts and crafts, recreation as well as an energetic, positive attitude.

Activities Coordinator Duties :

  • Help manage the activities calendar.
  • Plan daily schedules of physical, social, and spiritual activities according to the resident's abilities.
  • Develop and maintain a library of structured tasks for residents to use.
  • Order and maintain activities supplies according to budget.
  • Work with the Activities Team to promote a positive, calm and joyful environment throughout the center.
  • Document residents' participation and behavior based on each resident's care plan.
  • Organize on-site activities and events.
  • Organize off-site excursions.
  • Encourage residents' participation in our Enrichment Day program.
  • Confirm booking and reservations as needed.
  • Ensure a safe and fun environment for all participants.
  • Find resources for volunteer opportunities for our residents.
