Key Responsibilities :
- Production Scheduling : Develop and manage detailed production schedules to ensure timely completion of manufacturing processes, balancing demand and capacity.
- Resource Management : Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available for production.
- Inventory Control : Monitor inventory levels, track materials usage, and coordinate with the supply chain to prevent shortages and minimize excess.
- Compliance : Ensure all production planning activities comply with GMP regulations and internal quality standards.
- Reporting : Prepare and analyze production reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Present findings to management for strategic decision-making.
- Problem-Solving : Identify and resolve production-related issues, including delays, equipment malfunctions, and resource shortages, to minimize disruptions.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics, to facilitate smooth production operations.
- Continuous Improvement : Participate in initiatives to improve production processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce waste.
Facility Coordination Responsibilities :
- Facility Scheduling : Coordinate the scheduling of production activities with facility maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption during maintenance or upgrades.
- Space Management : Monitor and manage the allocation of production floor space to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Equipment Coordination : Work with the maintenance team to ensure that all production equipment is properly maintained and operational, scheduling downtime for repairs as needed.
- Safety Compliance : Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to ensure that facility operations meet safety regulations and GMP standards.
- Facility Upgrades : Assist in planning and coordinating facility upgrades or modifications, ensuring minimal impact on production timelines.
- Cross-Department Liaison : Act as a liaison between production and other departments, including engineering and facilities management, to streamline operations and enhance communication.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a life science related field.
- Experience in production planning or scheduling, preferably in a GMP or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and production scheduling techniques.
- Proficiency in ERP software and production planning tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of GMP regulations and quality management systems is highly desirable.
