About The Position
Job Title : Nurse Practitioner Job Specialty : Occupational Medicine Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 3 days per week, 8-hour days (Preference : Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 5-7 years in Occupational Health License : Minnesota license preferred Certifications : DOT Certification required, BLS required Must-Have : Experience in occupational health, OSHA record-keeping knowledge, DOT certification, workers' compensation knowledge (preferably Minnesota-specific), COHN certification preferred Job Description : - Assess work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Document work injuries and initiate the workers' compensation return-to-work process.- Conduct pre-placement health assessment exams.
- Sign off on Lab / Radiology orders through the Agility system and review results via the Epic system.- Conduct DOT Physicals;
must be DOT Certified.- Provide support to the healthcare staff.- Work onsite is required.- Flexibility in work days may be required depending on the time of year (example : flu shot clinics).
Opportunity requires an immediate start to assist in the transition.Preference is given to local providers, and those with Healthcare / Hospital experience over Manufacturing.
Infectious Disease / Infection Prevention experience / knowledge is preferred.
