Candidates must have earned PhD in the biological sciences and post-doctoral experience, must be broadly trained, willing to teach at the introductory level, and pursue an active research program in a liberal-arts setting.
Candidates will be expected to establish a research program that engages with undergraduates, pursue external research funding, and teach both introductory and advanced undergraduate courses, including courses for non-science majors to support the General Education curriculum of Morehouse College.
Applications must include a current CV, unofficial graduate transcript, statement of research interests, statement of teaching philosophy and letters from three professional references.
Additionally, a statement that demonstrates the candidate’s commitment to fostering the educational advancement of Black men and men of color from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds must be included.
