JOB SUMMARY
Marymount University seeks qualified individuals to teach Engineering lectures and laboratories. Qualified applicants will be contacted as a teaching need arises in Mechanical and Biomedical engineering.
Courses of interest may include calculus-based physics, statics, dynamics, CAD design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and others.
Adjunct faculty are professionals with the responsibility of providing a quality learning experience for Marymount University students on a semester basis.
Adjunct faculty report to the School Director and perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the university.
The relationship of the adjunct faculty member to the student is one of teacher and facilitator of learning. A supervisor will review all duties as assigned, particular to the course(s) being contracted to be taught.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach designated course(s).
Program development and monitoring course content, course implementation, and / or clinical experiences.
Maintain appropriate office hours (1 hour per week per course).
Building department programs.
Participating in departmental assessment.
OTHER DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS
Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Master's degree in Physics, Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the field of teaching required.
