Description
SAIC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Senior Systems Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions.
This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Job Duties :
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.
- Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years’ related experience.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Developing and / or sustaining national security, no-fail mission systems.
- Experience leading waterfall-to-agile transformations, designed to deliver Minimum Viable Products in a consistent cadence.
- Experience with a broad range of system types : custom developed HW / SW, COTS / GOTS HW / SW, and specialty engineering of exotic material / limited supply items.
- A high degree of proficiency using DOORs.
- Experience with implementing and sustaining distributed systems, virtual operating system environments, and virtual / augmented reality technologies.
Desired :
- Experience in systems engineering, Model-based Systems Engineering and related areas, to include managing teams / projects delivering solutions for missile warning or other national security space mission systems.
- Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.
- Experience maintaining national security mission networks.
Target salary range : $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
